All this is accomplished while minimizing lumber and material uses and impacts, while increasing energy efficiency and building durability.

Building Science Principles: This segment will be an overview of building science fundamentals relating to building performance, covering such topics as heat, air & moisture flow, and how these principles interact with the durability, efficiency and indoor air quality of a building.

Water Management and Building Durability: This section will cover the fundamental elements of water management from the site, and roof to foundation - and how critical proper water management is to help alleviate building failure.

Energy Efficiency – Thermal Envelope and HVAC Improvements: This segment will show participants how to take advantage of building science principles to improve the thermal efficiency of buildings and as a result reduce the size of HVAC equipment to condition indoor spaces.

Indoor Environmental Quality: This segment provides participants with important information about indoor air quality principles relate to green building, including pollutant control with respect to material choices, and ventilation strategies.

Material and Resource Use: This segment will cover all aspects of reusing, recycling and use of local materials by highlighting common industry practices and waste stream generation, and include several case study examples from successful projects across the country.
